Perth English Academy can provide a highly qualified private tutor (CELTA grade A) to train you or your staff in the English language. We can come to your premises or, if you prefer, you can come to our English school in Joondanna.

Getting Started
Your English tutor will first conduct a needs analysis to determine your English language level and requirements. Then an individual learning programme is developed to meet your learning needs. These may be very specific, such as achieving band 6 IELTS, or more general, such as improving your conversational skills or learning to deal with the Australian accent, expressions and slang.

Understanding the Australian accent and expressions.

IELTS is an acronym for International English Language Testing System. Applicants are examined in four areas of English language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. They are given scores corresponding to levels of competence with Band 0 being no knowledge of English to Band 9 being native speaker. Most applicants for temporary working visas sub-class 457 require a band level of 4.5. Medical and other professionals require higher scores. Band 6 is a bench mark for applicants for permanent residency in Australia.

Fees
Private tuition at your premises costs $75 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours. There are no hidden extra charges for text books, travel, preparation or marking. Private students at our premises can receive one to one tuition for $50 per hour.
